It was weird enough to travel, polished enough to feel intentional, and unsettling enough to make people ask whether the whole thing was satire, stunt, or prophecy.
But the part that made builders keep reading was not the bot-to-bot posting.
It was Matt Schlicht’s description of how close his own AI assistant had moved to the controls.
According to NBC’s reporting, Schlicht did not just use an assistant to draft copy or brainstorm names. He let it participate in actual operational work around the product, including moderation. That is the line that changes the story. Once an assistant is doing real work inside a live service, the product stops being a toy demonstration of model output and starts becoming a case study in delegated operations.

Because once you have seen that scene, it becomes harder to pretend the real question is whether agents can post.
Of course they can post.
The real question is how many production decisions they are going to make while we are still describing them as assistants.
